Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Eaten account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

Delete from the app

Open your profile, tap the menu icon in the top right, then Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm — this takes effect immediately.

Or request it by email

Email hello@eaten.io with the subject line "Account deletion request", from the email address on your account (or including your Eaten username), so we can verify it's you. We'll process it within 30 days.

What happens to your data

Deleted immediately: your login credentials and any linked sign-in (e.g. Google), push notification tokens, direct messages, follows, likes and blocks.

Kept, but disconnected from you: reviews, ratings, dish photos, comments and lists stay visible to other diners and restaurants — that content is genuinely useful to them — but your name, username, email and photo are replaced with "Deleted user" and can no longer be traced back to your account. Some information may be retained for a limited period where we're required to by law, or to prevent fraud and abuse.
