These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Eaten mobile application and website at eaten.io (together, the "Service"), operated by Eaten Technologies ("Eaten", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using Eaten

Eaten helps you discover, save and rank dishes and the restaurants that serve them. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for the activity that happens on your account and for keeping your login details secure.

2. Your content

When you post a review, rating, photo, list or other content ("User Content"), you keep ownership of it, but you grant Eaten a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content as part of operating and promoting the Service — for example, showing your review to other users or featuring a dish photo on a restaurant's page.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything that's false, defamatory, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have the right to share. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms.

3. Restaurant listings and claiming

Eaten aggregates publicly available information about restaurants and dishes. Restaurant owners can claim and manage their own listing. Claiming a listing doesn't give a restaurant control over diner reviews or ratings, which reflect the honest opinions of the people who posted them.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't impersonate another person or restaurant.
• Don't post fake reviews or manipulate ratings.
• Don't scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the Service.
• Don't use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful to others.

5. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers — for example Google for sign-in, and cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and image delivery. Your use of those providers is also subject to their own terms.

6. Disclaimers

Eaten is provided "as is". Dish and restaurant information, ratings and reviews reflect user opinions and third-party data, and we don't guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or that a restaurant is open, safe, or suitable for any dietary requirement — always check directly with the restaurant for allergen and dietary information.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Eaten isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account from our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
