These wings have an incredibly flavorful and robust sauce. These wings however need every bit of that flavor as they are not salted and are overcooked. It seems they are both fried and grilled, which would explain why they were a bit overcooked on the inside and fairly hard on the outside. The sauce carries these much farther than they should be.
