AMAZING
1st NIGIRI SUSHI PLATTER
Kazunori Japanese Restaurant / Kazu Cafe, Makati City
This restaurant flies its sushi into the Philippines everyday direct from the Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. Very fresh.
2nd ASSORTED SUSHI
Ajisho Kaisendon, Taguig
Tuna, conger eel, yellow tail, sea urchin, salmon, salmon roe, eel, minced tuna, spear squid, and egg. All heavenly delicious!
3rd SHIME SABA SUSHI
Akitaya Japanese Restaurant, Makati City
Mackarel that's cured in salt and rice vinegar. The best shime saba I've had so far in the Metro. Others taste like pre-packaged saba. This one - marinated from scratch.
REALLY GOOD
4th BROILED SALMON
Ajisho Kaisendon, Taguig
Fresh salmon with mayo on a bed of sushi rice. Delicious but can get a bit monotonous.
5th UNI SUSHI
Kimono Ken SM BF, Parañaque
An underrated restaurant. My go-to place for affordable but good Japanese food.
7th IKURA + UNI
Nakamise Shopping Street, Taito City
See how the restaurant looks from the outside by swiping to the 2nd photo. Good sushi and friendly service!
PRETTY GOOD
8th SHIME SABA SUSHI
Kenshin Japanese Izakaya Restaurant MCS Branch, Makati City
Tasted like pre-packaged vinegared mackarel. It only cost US$0.76 equivalent each. Can't argue with that.
JUST OK
9th ASSORTED SUSHI
FamilyMart, Taito City
This particular set had nothing but rice inside.
