Crispy fried pork, tossed in asam jawa and budu gastrique. Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. Such clever use of local ingredients, way beyond the usual sweet & sour tomato-based sauce. That sauce just coats each and every piece of that crispy pork so gorgeously. Sigh. And with this ends our journey with Mangkuk for now. Very generous with both rice and meat. And it’s tasty too! Pork is crispy on the outside and not at all dry inside. Very flavourful with the sweet and sour sauce.
