I will order this dish purely for the toffee sauce. The dish is full of warm comfort, the ginger a sharp contrast that is balanced out by the ice cream. Too sharp on its own maybe, but a beaut with the cold vanilla.

The cake bit was pretty dry on its own and only reached a well balanced moisture once you had both sauce and ice cream on the spoon too.
