My first attempt at refried beans 🫘 Vegan too I think? I see tortas, burritos and possibly sopes in my future. But maybe I need to make more? 🤔

Took all of 20 min if you didn’t count the 4+ hours it took to do the ciabatta (technically 24+ h if you count the biga).

After a lifetime of constantly giving this bean a chance at various stages, I still do not care for petai. I usually pick at the accompanying sambal to go with rice but I nearly passed out ingesting this. 🥵🔥🔥🔥
