BRIEF: Cendol, red bean, gula melaka & santan SOOT’S TAKE: It’s got everything that’s requisite for this dessert-refreshment. One of the better cendols I’ve had in recent times and it’s not too sweet!

A SE Asian dessert served by an Indian Muslim streetside vendor and enjoyed with a Chinese spoon. Universally enjoyed by all as well.

Would be amazing with more gula melaka but yeah, I get that the real stuff is expensive and you gotta keep it real within a RM5 budget.

I dunno if it’s the best ever but certainly good enough for me. So refreshing with the laksa. 🍲

Shaved ice with screwpine rice flour jelly. I liked that you got to decide how much gula melaka you could have with it.

Not excessively sweet. Not excessively green. Just perfect. 👍

Refreshing and tasty. It went very well with the Peranakan dishes.

Can’t believe I got to have this again! In less than 2 weeks and in a different location! 😮😋🍧 Plus, 7 days post-massive self-inflicted tongue bite, I was able to enjoy it today more than I’d been able to do so otherwise in recent memory.

Dream come true coz I love creamed corn so damn much! 🌽 🌽 🌽

Decent.

Better than yesterday’s cendol and at a fraction of the price.

“All the classic chendol ingredients combined into a parfait with coconut ice cream and intense Gula Melaka syrup.” That’s a pretty broad definition of parfait. 🤨

Passable. The gula Melaka is barely detectable.

I was excited to have this again after discovering what I thought was the best chendol I’d had in SG last year. It is clear they have been very successful, given their apparent rapid expansion (this is the 3rd outlet I’ve discovered from randomly entering a hawker center wherever I happen to be). Alas, the chendol at this outlet paled significantly, in contrast to my experience at the other 2 outlets. It was flat-tasting and it made me very sad to have to try to finish the entire bowl (which ultimately, I was unable to). 😔

The lack of shaved ice left much to be desired in this dessert.
