AMAZING
1st MEYER LEMON CROISSANT

Brief: “A CELEBRATION OF LEMON! A CROISSANT STUFFED WITH PIQUANT MEYER LEMON CURD AND FINISHED WITH A GLAZE MADE FROM ITS ZEST FO A BRIGHT TREAT.” Sooty’s Take: the best croissant I’ve had in recent memory and maybe even the best ever! The croissant itself was flaky and crunchy (none of that disappointing sogginess I find in 99% of the croissants I’ve had) and the lemon curd was deliciously bright! 😋

2nd CORNETTO PISTACCHIO

Better than what one would expect from a grocery store pastry. While the laminated pastry wasn’t the best I’d had, it was generously-filled with a delicious pistachio creme filling. Devoured while waiting for the WAB train to Wengen.
3rd LE MOLTEN SALTED EGG YOLK CROISSANT

The vaunted Salted Egg Yolk Croissant (SEYC) that had everyone up in arms when this seemingly unassuming bake shop didn't anticipate it's overwhelming popularity among locals. It's the only thing anyone at this bakery cafe seems to be eating. The constant flow of customers into this shop ensures it never has to worry about a surplus, at least not until this salty sweet trend expires. At any point in time there is a line of customers armed with trays in anticipation of the next available batch. You'd think you were part of a breadline in depression era NYC except people couldn't wait (although they still had to) to part with good money for the rationed number of 5 croissants/customer.

Warm, molten, golden salted yolk of duck flowing out of its crispy, flakey crust of croissant. This place offers the best salted egg yolk croissant of the 3 places I've tried so far. Next stop: Hong Kong!

Mini versions of salted egg croissants (SEC) are fantastic idea. Mini flavor bombs you can pop in your mouth without necessarily overindulging. The salted egg yolk filling in these croissants are a tad sweet though.
