Got this with a 30% reduction in sugar content. It was very good.

I wanted Teh Halia (ginger tea) but they were out (“Teh Halia balik kampung!” exclaimed the jovial lady at the counter). This was a nice sub (not too sweet) except it was hot and I didn’t know at the time I would be craving an ice cold drink with the spicy Mee Siam. 🥵

Hojicha powder with Hokkaido milk, topped with copious amounts of whipped cream & brown sugar. Delicious with the takoyaki I had today, especially since my last helping was in December and it’s the first time I’ve ingested anything outside the home since April 2020.

This was delicious and refreshing on an oppressively hot and humid day.

Could’ve been slightly sweeter until I realized all that sweetness had settled at the bottom and by then it was too late 🥲

When you get your tea or coffee siew dai in Singapore, it means you’re getting a less sweet version of your beverage. I shall be getting my hot tea siew dai from here on out. #WhenInSingapore🇸🇬

I forgot to ask for less sugar but thankfully it wasn’t too sweet. Otherwise, it tasted just like teh served in any other kopitiam.

Literally translated, “da hong bao” means big red packet which are red envelops of cash given by married peeps to unmarried peeps during the Lunar New Year (which is right around the corner). It is also the name of a type of delicious oolong tea from China. This one had milk in it, along with brown sugar and boba: a modern take on a supposedly ancient drink.

Topped it off with a glass of teh tarik.

Thai milk green tea. Very perfumed, yet strangely pleasant. And refreshing. 🏃‍♀️
