BRIEF: “6 pieces of skewered barbequed meat served with traditional peanut sauce, cucumbers, onions, pineapples and rice cakes.” SOOT’S TAKE: Not bad! The gravy was much preferred to the overly sweet ones I’ve had elsewhere in Malaysia.

A combination of pork and chicken satay. Both types were flavorful and juicy and the gravy was surprisingly piquant as opposed to cloying.

Got a combination of chicken and pork satay to share. Too bad they ran out of ketupat!

Javanese styled chicken satay - their crowd's fav.. Definitely not satay as I’ve mostly known it. This is chunkier, smokier and just a different meat thing on a stick.

I really enjoyed this and would’ve gone for more except the entire thing of peanut gravy fell off the counter and then I knew it was GAME OVER. 😭

With ketupat and the regular fixins’. Tender meat on sticks with just the right balance of fat and muscle. The gravy was decent as well.

Chicken satay served with Hainanese-style gravy i.e. spicy peanut gravy with a dollop of pineapple purée. There was a long line to get this and they’d sold out of their pork satay, which is supposed to be sensational. Next time...
