Best shawarma I’ve had in a long, long while. Maybe ever. In this wrap, you get smoky, flavorful, juicy chicken deliciously complemented by pickled gherkins, house-made toum and spicy sauce. The whole package is just flavor bomb. I will be back when I can be. Before they sell out. Hopefully 🤞

Birthday meal from Damascus Delights. Their smoky, flavorful, juicy chicken and accompanying condiments can’t be beat! Yet. Lunch and dinner sorted!

I had to after my first regular-sized wrap from them over 4 months ago and having traveled so far for it. Lunch and dinner sorted!

A mix of chicken and lamb with dips that taste like toum. A tasty lunch that did not set me back more than $12. Will return!

BRIEF: “Tender Chicken marinated in Shawarma Spices, served with Fresh Zesty Cabbage, Tomato, Pickles, Onion, Parsley & bold Middle Eastern Tahini, Amba, Harissa, Schug.” SOOT’S TAKE: Generously filled but no match for Hadi’s shawarma (no way)! Made it a meal with a side of their falafel balls (pretty good, not dry, although they smelled strangely like cempadak) and Hibiscus Gazoz (👍)

There was no line or dine in option on account of the iftar, so I got a mix of spicy chicken and beef with cheese to go. It’s not bad but not fantastic either, so not something I’d return for.

For that pita sandwich @savorflavor made me kinda wanna make.

Also stuffed with tomatoes, Japanese cukes, baby radish and topped with labneh. Topped it further with Frank’s RedHot.

From the SHANDI booth at the Flavours of Tomorrow Festival. They specialize in plant-based chicken that was used in this shawarma wrap. Unfortunately it was tragically bland. It needed hot sauce or some condiment and it made me yearn for the FAR superior shawarma wrap at Damascus Delights 😭 Worst 10 bucks spent in recent memory.
