1st ARROZ CON POLLO

Everything is truly perfect with this dish. Incredible rice, incredibly flavorful seasoned chicken, the BEST queso sauce I’ve ever tasted, and served with a steamed packet of tortillas! Words cannot articulate how absolutely incredible this platter is. This is the pinnacle of Mexican cuisine. It is a gold mine of a location.

The absolute best burrito bar none, with the best staff ever. All fresh ingredients and still affordable. Salsa is fantastic, everything is packed with flavor. Order with cheese!!!

20+ varieties of gooey baked empanadas ordered a la carte depending on your vibe. All of the varieties are equally good in their own way!! Not too doughy, they’ve achieved the perfect ratio of filling to dough, packed with incredibly authentic and unique flavors. (Note: these are Argentinian empanadas, they are sorted under Mexican platters solely for organizational purposes)

Excellent cheese between crunchy and salted corn tortilla shells, the birria is super flavorful and the consomé is very savory, worth dipping every bite!! This is peak quesabirria!

What a lovely quesadilla!! Simple in assembly, but well-executed with juicy and well-seasoned chicken with just a tiny hint of spice, and tons of gooey chihuahua cheese brings out a deeper flavor here. Authentic and local, this is not a quesadilla to miss!

My goodness what a quesadilla! The hot salsa really made this shine, but the juicy and tender chicken melded in with the heaping amount of Mexican cheese made this impossible to put down! A must grab food truck!

Super juicy and savory!! Well-seasoned and rich beef birria is stuffed inside of lightly crisped corn tortillas and a bit of authentic Mexican cheese. The consomé is incredibly rich and thick, aiding to the overall authenticity. I wish there was more cheese and the tacos had been crisped more, but the flavors are absolutely all here!

A juicy, seasoned, and spicy chicken on a warmed flour tortilla with chihuahua cheese, ugh this was so good! I wish I had more!! Pairs great with the spicy salsa, a simple taco with great care tended to it!!

This is an excellent and tasty quesadilla! The chicken is very tender, juicy, and well-seasoned with traditional Hispanic spices. The tortilla is crisped nicely. The only downside is perhaps that there isn’t a ton of cheese in these, certainly less than an average quesadilla. Still great flavors all around, and even better with their spicy salsa!

The house tortillas are well-filled with tender seasoned chicken and topped with a savory and mildly spicy mole sauce. Melted with cheese on top, these are such a lovely and rich combination of flavors that just simply works.

Such a golden and crispy corn tortilla with a tasty cheese and a juicy beef birria! The beef is seasoned well but with a bit of a more “mild” birria taste that doesn’t reach the full flavor profile of the best ones out there. Still an incredible taco, further accentuated by their spicy salsa!!!

This is super savory and rich beef birria!! With authentic cheeses this is mostly held back by a fine corn tortilla that would be much more enjoyable with a touch more salt and a bit more crunch. Still, this was a very good taco by sheer flavor in the birria!

A really great platter overall: the rice is fine but fairly bland, the chicken is juicy and nicely seasoned, and the cheese sauce here is PHENOMENAL. Almost every bite was covered with cheese in some crevice and I was very appreciate of the creamy salt it provided. Wish this had been served alongside a packet of tortillas though!
18th GRILLED CHEESE BURRITO

Beef burrito with chipotle and cheese sauces, shredded cheese, and crunchy red chip strips. Basic, gooey, and great tasting. The cheese on the outside is a nice touch, but makes the eating experience greasier. All in all, one of the better options at Taco Bell.

A super soft empanada with al pastor pork and mozzarella, very juicy and tender, and complimented well by their salsa!
20th CHICKEN QUESADILLA

A really solid quesadilla, and a large one at that! Lightly toasted on the outside and filled with very tender and seasoned chicken on the inside, this is a real treat to eat. However, the cheese is not very gooey or melty, and instead is rather rubbery. That creates a problem of dryness here, as the chicken is also a touch on the dry side. Some salsa would help here.
21st QUESABIRRIA TACOS

These tacos are absolutely bursting with the savory flavors typical of birria! The beef seems slightly overcooked and dry like beef roasts can be, but the consomé is there to provide the much needed moisture. The consomé is some of the best I’ve ever had, I would (and did) drink it by itself. Seemed like a scant amount of cheese, and the tortillas were fairly bland and soggy. A crunch here really would have elevated them further! Despite that, these were still really good in their own right!
22nd COMBINATION ENCHILADA PLATE

A really good combo of a cheese enchilada that was like eating pure cheddar cheese, a beef enchilada that was super savory and had a nice spice to it, and a light chicken enchilada that was tender and creamy. Beans were good, rice was not. Overall, a nice dine in experience in the Big Easy!

About as simple a taco as you can make, but rather tasty! The chorizo is cooked perfectly and is packed with flavor! Topped with cheese, this is absolutely the best taco option the venue has!!!

Lovely crunchy corn tortillas house a tasty and authentic Mexican cheese and juicy birria. The biggest downfall here is the birria just not having quite enough flavor to carry this home. Closer to a plain shredded beef than a birria flavor. Despite that, these are pretty good and definitely helped by their spicy red salsa.
25th WI STYLE CHICKEN BURRITO

A massive burrito filled with pulled chicken and topped with melted Mexican cheese. The chicken has a nice flavor with chile rub seasonings, but is a bit dry. The cheese sauce on top offers a nice creamy texture to pair with the refried beans inside the burrito. A modest and perfectly fine burrito.

These birria tacos do everything right and nail the crunchy shells, but the meat could have used a bit more moisture and salt, though it was still tender. The consomé cost extra which was annoying.

The chicken is SO tender and juicy, truly incredible flavors here. The tortillas left something be to desired though, it’s really the only complaint on these.

So many types of cheese (sauces) bring out an abundance of flavors from the seasoned chicken. Grab some salsa to help add some moisture to the flatbread though, and it will really round out the flavors here!

Very tender and juicy chicken, nicely seasoned. The tortillas were a bit soggy which brought the experience down, would have liked some toast or crunch there, but a great taco nonetheless!
30th QUESABIRRIA TACOS

Tender shredded beef birria is somewhat held back by being a little dry and served alongside a somewhat bland and watery consomé. Two tacos had very fatty/gristly pieces of inedible meat. The shells had a decent flavor and crunch to them, but they could be crunchier. The cheese is plentiful here, but seems to be a bland monterey jack. There’s room for salt here. The proclaimed origin of quesabirria has perhaps not kept up with the innovations others have made on this dish.
