A very pineapple-forward jam to kick off July’s bucket list bake club challenge. Can’t wait to have it with slice of toasted sourdough. I guess that’s where the baking part comes in? 🥖

What to do with mushy, not-very-sweet figs that aren’t fun to eat? You cook them to create a fig compote! Nice balance of tangy and sweet. This now needs some soft cheese! On the cracker front, I wanted something different and the ones that were available commercially were too ridiculously-priced. So I made my own! These maybe needed more time in the oven because they weren’t consistently baked across the tray. Some were crispy and others less so. Or maybe I need to pay closer attention to the thickness of the dough?
